Welcome to Chasing Elephants!
I am currently filling my passport with stamps as I travel the world with my husband Jared. I have visited almost 25 countries and have had some incredible experiences. I’m starting this blog to keep an ongoing journal of all the exciting things that we’ve done, an online scrapbook if you will. I also thought it would be a great format to keep in touch with family and friends as it is sometimes difficult to give everyone consistent updates.
In addition to sharing about our travel excursions, I also plan to share happenings from my daily life. I plan to cover everything from my obsession with snail mail, being a newlywed overseas, learning to cook, life tips I’ve learned and even my neuroses. Hopefully my stories will be humorous, the travel will be interesting and who knows, maybe I’ll even share a good idea or two!
Every trip I take I photograph obsessively. In fact, I am known to be somewhat of a “shootaholic”. However, not many people end up seeing my work after they are taken. This blog will give me the motivation to edit and post my own photos to share with all of you!
Lastly, I want to write a little disclaimer. As you read my blog and all about my “jet-setting” lifestyle, not one second goes by that I take it for granted. I am incredibly grateful for this unique opportunity that I have been given to be with my husband, see the world and be exposed to a variety of people and cultures.
The lifestyle we lead although exciting can also be somewhat chaotic at times. It is hard to be apart from those we love for extended periods of time. Luckily, we have the most amazing support in the world. I have so much to be thankful for it is simply indescribable. I get to live a life with the most incredible man by my side, visit exotic locations and have the most wonderful family and friends anyone could ask for. This blog is simply an outlet to allow me to share my incredible journey.
I hope that you will join me as I share photos, stories, romance and all the little things that make up my life.
